Hi there, my name is Rick, I am currently 14 years old and went to Hillcrest for middle school. My hobbies include drawing, and playing video games.

My favorite quote is from the comic strip Calvin and Hobbes where Calvin asks “What if we die and it turns out God is a big Chicken?” Although it seems like Calvin only said that to avoid eating his dinner that night, I actually interpret it as a warning that not everything is what it seems to be, and you should think more carefully about what will happen in the long run.

A YouTube Video that I have particularly enjoyed is a song called Fallen Kingdom, which is a parody of Coldplay’s Viva La Vida, by YouTuber Captain Sparklez. It was published in 2012 and has recently received attention due the resurgence of Minecraft, the now best selling video game of all time. The lyrics are from the perspective of the king of the “fallen kingdom” as he recounts the events of the fateful night his kingdom was stormed by the evil mobs. I highly recommend this video is you are a cultured person.

A website that I find myself  frequenting quite often is Reddit, as there is wide variety of content such as memes, videos, photos, stories, polls, and even more. There are also communities for many topics such as games, movies, and literature.

One noteworthy event that happened on my birthday, April 3rd, was that Martin Luther King, a civil rights leader, delivered his final speech.
