Week 7 Food Blogging

I decided to make sweet potato latte. I decided to make this because in our household we had a lot of sweet potatoes and we never really ate them, so with the left over potatoes I decided to make a savoury drink. I wanted to make this because when I was younger my mom would sometimes serve me this when we had sweet potatoes, and I always enjoyed drinking it. She doesn’t really have a recipe, so I just had to kind of guess the ratio and everything. One thing I changed about the recipe is that instead of using maple syrup as the sweetener I used agave syrup. Because in my opinion I think Agave syrup is much tastier than Maple syrup. But when I finished the drink It surprsingly turned out to be great. It didn’t really get all of the chunks, but in my opinion that makes it so much better. It tasted like what you would expect, like a sweet potato warm drink. You can also drink it cold but the weather at the time was cloudy and cold so I decided to jsut serve it warm. If you want something tasty to drink while you are in quarantine, then I sure reccomend you to try this drink for yourselves. It’s simple to make, pretty much you can steam the sweet potatoes, then smuch them in a bowl so you don’t just blend one chunk, then just pour some milk into the blender and add the potatoes and syrup (depending how sweet you want it) then you will have a great qurantine drink! I took photos of the process of making it. (I forgot to take the picture of the final product) 🙁
