Quarter 3 Assignment

An assignment I was proud of for this term was from Graphics 9. First, we had to find 15 images and 15 words that describe ourselves to put in our ‘bucket.’. Then we created a design out of the images and text chosen from the bucket. We had to then design a phone case for our own ‘brand’ which included pictures that are related to me or represent who I am. I am proud of this assignment because I feel like I did well on it, and I chose the right types of graphic elements to put in the design. I think I also followed the ‘golden rules’ of graphic design and avoided some of the mistakes that we were taught from before.

Break the Fake (Pt. 2)

The tweet I found was that a program used to script and make games was releasing a feature which can help you keep track of changes in the code. You can find a list of changes in the code and reload older versions or add commit messages.

The steps I took:

  1. I found the source on the tweet (there is a blue checkmark)

2. I searched and verified the source on Wikipedia. It is shown that the website is an official website and the account made was verified as well, which meant it was more trustworthy.

3. I used google as a fact-checking source and found some results.

4. I checked some other sources as well, including the official studio hub. I found out that a staff member had announced that the feature was beta and soon to come. Therefore, the tweet made was true.

French 9 Assignment

For French, we had to make a project on a Francophone country. I chose Mexico. We had to include 5 points, including a description of the country and the food there (in French.) I have not learned French before this year, but I still got a decently high mark. I am proud of this assignment since I did pretty well in researching and translating all my written notes into French. Researching on all of the topics was also a challenge since Mexico didnt have a lot of French background.

Science 9- Mitosis

One of the final projects we had to do in Science 9 was make a stop-motion movie or animation explaining the steps of Mitosis.

I made an animation using Adobe Animate. I’m very proud of it because it look me very long to make and the outcome was good. It is also one of the best-animated projects I had made. It wasn’t choppy like some of my other work. I hope you enjoy watching it! 😀

Guideline for Commenting on my Blog

Comments are an important part of helping others and giving advice. This is a guideline on what others should follow when making comments on my blog 🙂

  1. Read the Post Before Commenting

Many people would obviously read the post before commenting, but some people just go straight into the comments after looking at the title. If you do this you may be missing out on important context. You don’t really need to read word for word but try to get the main points.

      2.  Do Not Drop Links

Links are frowned upon in blogs because they could possibly take someone to an unsafe website, a comment is also not for advertising your own blog pages. Try to avoid links unless its for backing up information that is not your own.

      3. Contribute to the Conversation

Blogs are also part of communicating with others, so try to get in a conversation with others in the comments. However, do not engage in an argument (by baiting) which is both rude and selfish.

      4. Use Correct Grammar

Grammar is an important part of writing, if you use correct grammar people would understand your point clearly and easily. It also allows me to understand what you are trying to say.

Example: My blog on digital drawing

“Hi, thanks for the tips! I knew a lot of things about art that I did not know before. Everything was explained clearly which really helped”.
