Q3 proud assignment

Thank you for returning to my blog. In quarter 3 I had French and science. The project I am most proud of from quarter 3 is the stop motion mitosis project that my friend and I created for science. We had to include all the steps of mitosis. We used string and play dough to represent the organelles. Because of Covid we couldn’t go in each others houses so we had to film it in AnW, it was pretty fun.

The whole video was to long to upload to edublog so here’s some screenshots from the video.

break the fake 2

For this assignment I chose to fact check the rumors about blood clots coming from the astrazeneca covid vaccines.

I searched up articles about the rumors and found a short video from globalnews.ca. I then did a wikepedia source to make sure that globalnews.ca was a reliable source and found out that it was.

I did a little more research about the blood clots from the vaccine and found out that the information in this video is true. Although only some people are getting blood clots this isn’t good and hopefully a solution can be figured out.

sciences humaines Q2

This quarter I had gym and socials (sciences humaines 9), I did not do any projects in either of the classes so I guess the work that I am most proud of last quarter was my final in socials. We had to write an essay about the English revolution (when Mary and William became king and queen). The essay had to be between 500 and 2000 words, I wrote about 1700 words. We had to write 5 paragraphs, introduction, conclusion and three main paragraphs. Each main paragraph had to be about a different part of the revolution. My first paragraph was about the Stuarts, second was about how badly the citizens were treated and the last one was about the glorious revolution. I got a good mark on this essay and I am very proud of it.

The Olympic games

I have chosen the Olympics as my topic to write about because I enjoy watching them and I am passionate about sports. I am also interested in learning more about the Olympics. The modern Olympic games are a series of international athletic competitions in different sports that were first held in the spring of 1896 in Athens, Greece. Only men competed in the first Olympics, women were not permitted until the 1900 games in Paris. The Frenchman Baron Pierre de Coubertin inspired by the ancient Olympics, decided to revive them for the modern day. At first, only the summer Olympics were held every four years, the winter games began in 1924. The summer and winter games were held in the same year until 1994, now they are held every two years, two years apart. In the first games there were 9 sports with 43 events and 280 participants. In the most recent games there was 33 sports, 339 events and over 11,000 participants, wow, those numbers grew a lot. Nineteen countries have held the Olympic games with only one continent other than Antarctica never hosting the games before and that is Africa. London is the only city that has hosted the games three times, 1908, 1948 and 2012. The Olympic symbol is five colored rings that represent the joining of world athletes from five different continents. The Olympic games are very diverse and inclusive, and strive to include the values of excellence, friendship and respect. I was very sad that the 2020 Olympics were cancelled due to the pandemic, but I am looking forward to whenever they reschedule.

communications 9 – song

In communications 9, we had to make a song and either make a music video or preform it live to the class.

I made a song with two of my classmates about covid-19. I am proud of this project because I received a good mark and the music video was good.

To show you some of my work I will attach the chorus;

Notre monde était pris par COVID 19

Les petites particules contrôlent notre vie

Les gens doivent laisser six pieds entre eu

Les masques sont encouragés ou c’est dangereux
