“To believe all men honest is folly. To believe none is something worse,” – John Adams
This quote does not “inspire me” per say, but it is a quote that I still find important. Not only is it catchy, but it is important to understand that you cannot trust everybody; that is, you should not trust rumors that you would find spreading like a wildfire through social media outlets. Instead, you should believe what you hear from trustworthy individuals. Inversely, you should never shut your mind away from all opinions, rather only ones that are not from trusted sources or reasonable in one way or another. Living by this logic has generally help me determine what may or may not be false advertising or false information.
In this article, there a picture that represents conformity and individuality. This image is powerful to me because I often think about this topic. I always want to break free of conformity and society’s expectations, although I may not have the artistic talent or skillset to show it yet. In the future, I would like to be a musician making music that shows this, similar to one of my favourite bands “Pink Floyd”.
