About Me!

Hey, howdy, hi! I’m Karen, and I like to cuddle up next to a fire with a good book. (Preferably Harry Potter, but I’m a sucker for Rom-Com books too.) First off, I have a passion for painting and drawing, but I don’t think they could beat reading and writing. Reading and writing are the only things that take me away into a world of imagination, where I’m hidden far away from my fears. The thought of going back to reality terrifies me so much, and I want to stay in a book for as long as I can.¬† A book is where I can imagine that all my problems have vanished; and when I’m reading a good book, I can almost imagine myself in the book, watching and observing everything that’s going on. Another thing to know about me is that I’m very introverted, and don’t like to open up. I almost never speak up, so if I don’t talk to you, I (probably) don’t hate you, and I’m not ignoring you; I’m just utterly horrified at the thought of speaking to someone that I don’t know. Oh, also I love puns and creative threats, if for some mind baffling reason, you want to talk to me. I’m ending this intro here because it’s getting way too hecking long! Stay out of trouble, and don’t forget to smile! ūüôā¬†

  1. Quote: “It’s kind of fun to do the impossible.” -Walt Disney.

I chose this quote because it’s really inspiring. As well, I’m a huge fan of Disney, and it shows that as long as you put your mind to it, you will be closer to succeeding, than if you don’t try at all. It shows that you can do the impossible, and how sweet the success of it is. This quote really expands your imagination in general, as well as about the Disney franchise.

This video is called The Joy of Books, and it really opens up the world of books. It shows how creative people can get with books, and that not everything is as it seems. I chose to put it here because books mean a lot to me, and I absolutely love reading. Lots of people find reading books pointless, or useless, so maybe this video can show how creative and imaginative people can get using books.

These are my guinea pigs named S’mores and Coffee! They mean a lot to me, and I love them tremendously. They can cheer me up during the saddest of times, and they can even cheer me up when I think that I couldn’t be happier. (Basically, they’re cute¬†nuisances)

4. https://www.wattpad.com/

This website it where I do most of my writing, and online reading. When I’m stressed, I’ll go find a good book to read, or I’ll do some writing of my own. This website takes me into a world of stories, where I escape the harsh reality of the real world, even if it’s just for a few minutes. It’s a really great website to find a new book to read, or even become an author. If you’re ever unsure about what books you like, or if you want to become an author, this website is a great place to start! (Though it does give me some far-fetched dreams to become some hardcore ninja princess of some sort. Oh well, a girl can dream.)

  1. You have done a good job constructing your page and have integrated media and text quite well. A mark was deducted because you didn’t embed the video. There are instructions on embedding video on the assignment page.

  2. I enjoyed your video, the angles were really cool and so was the editing. Maybe next time your audio could improve. Overall great work
