So we have decided that rather than the many door sensors ideas that we have like other groups, we have gone with the missing object alarm. This alarm will be passively playing alarm sound and use the the built in compass as a detector of magnetism. If there is a magnetic signal, then the alarm stops. In theory, the alarm should only play when the object with the magnet is moved. This is a missing object sensor that can be used like how they are in movies, we can even set it up to send a notification if it is moved. That’s it this time, until the next.

After looking over what a microbit can do, i realized that using the built in compass, not for directions, but for locating and sensing magnetism. The compass was built to locate directions, but we can also use it with magnets for security. We can put some magnets on a object and a microbit close by, so that when the object is moved, a loud sound will be played. We can also out magnets on doors so that when a door is opened, a alarm can also be played. That’s all I can think of for now, so till next time.
