chocolate mayonnaise cake

I chose to make this cake because my mom had made it before and it was really good so I decided to try to make it. I also made it because I didn’t have any fruit at the moment so I couldn’t make pie and I felt like making a dessert so I made this cake. my family really enjoyed this cake and my sisters are always surprised that it is so good with mayonnaise in it that also kind of superised me that it had mayonnaise in it the first time I also could see transferring the frosting recipe to another cake because it is like the best frosting I have had in a while because its not to sweet are strong so that might be the best part. I also found I put to much flour in the pan and the bottom was kind of white and I took it out too early and it kind of broke in two spots but it came out really easily. my mom also found this recipe looking for a cake her parents made for her but she believes this one isn’t it because her dad usually wrote other steps too cook better and not burn it like in a chicken wing recipe he wrote to marinate the chicken for longer in a glass container because I guess it works better so either the recipe for the cake was perfect are this was not the recipe my mom thinks it might be a sour cream chocolate cake. I learnt not to take the cake out too early and let it cool fully also before you put the frosting on it also turned out not the best looking and a bet lighter then before it also rise a lot and the pan I used was a bit short and it rose above the pan so use a taller pan are a longer baking pan.
