A) What is the underlying message in the video?
The underlying message of the video is that there are good and bad people in the world, and sometimes you have to make the best of life no matter what happens.
B) What emotion/action/outcome was this message meant to cause?
The video was meant to be amusing, but there is a darker underlying message that the viewers should think about
C) Where is the opinion or bias in this message, if any?
I don’t think there is any bias in the message, it’s a pretty simple message that bullying is bad. It doesn’t show any deep emotions, so there’s not much room for opinion/bias.
D) What about the medium (in this case video) is effective for its purpose?
A video used to show the message is a relatively good medium. It shows sound and visuals to communicate the message clearly with the audience.
E) What about the medium (in this case video) is ineffective for it’s purpose?
I feel like video is the best medium to transmit the message. It has obvious limitations like you not actually being there and the fact that it’s 2D, but you really can’t get better than a video.
F) Is there any other medium (technology platform) that would be effective for this project?
A short film made from lots of photos would also be effective for conveying the message, but a video is infinitely easier to create and it’s just as good.
