One of the learning experiences from this past year that I am most proud of is, from my English course. In this course, I had the opportunity to learn how to build an essay. First learning about a hook, thesis statement, and the body of the paragraph. We learned tips on how to construct the essay to ensure it had fluidity and was properly edited. The essay I am most proud of was the essay I wrote titled, “Arnold’s Identity”. This essay was based on the book, “The Absolute True Diary of a Part-Time Indian” written by Sherman Alexa.
I worked very hard on this assignment to ensure I was using proper APA style for the format and direct quotations. This was a great learning experience for me as I struggle with making decisions on what to say and what to document. I found the editing experience by my peers very helpful and I was able to use some of the suggestions to make improvements. I feel I will be able to take some of this learning forward and apply it to my other writing assignments in the future. I still require assistance with reviewing, editing, and ensuring fluidity, however, the more time and effort I make will assist in my growth and development of my writing skills.
my group and I are reenacting a scene for English 9 from the book “The Absolutely True Dairy of a Part-Time Indian” by Sherman Alexie. the scene we’re reenacting is from the chapter from the book called “Halloween” in this chapter Arnold is collecting money for a charity that’s raising money for the poor, but is then attacked by a group of unknown individuals.
