Microbit Post #2

My partner and I are now at the stage of trying out different codes. We haven’t tried them out with the actual Microbits yet, but we hope to soon. We’ve had difficulties in getting this project to work out, as we have limited time in advisory classes and there aren’t that many Microbits to work with. We learned how to code with Microbits in Science class last semester, but it wasn’t super informative and we don’t really remember that much. For all these reasons, we haven’t gotten much done so far, but we hope to start picking up the pace soon and that this project will work out the way we want it to.

The problem that my partner Alana and I are trying to solve is when unwanted people or pets enter your room when you don’t want them to. We are planning to use some sort of sensor (most likely a motion sensor) that will detect when someone enters the room and will send a notification to your phone. We came up with this idea, as we thought of our family members and others who we don’t always want in our rooms. However, this idea may also work if you have small children or pets at home that are unwanted in spaces like the laundry room or the kitchen.
